Engine

More Power for Every Chore

A turbocharged, 3-cylinder, 1.9-L engine delivers increased power across the Compact Farmall C series tractor lineup. Models range from 35 to 55 hp (28-47 PTO hp) — a 5-hp increase over previous models. These engines also provide greater displacement and up to 20 percent greater torque output.

Common Rail Direct Injection

The latest fuel-injection technology offers several advantages, including improved power performance, increased efficiency and cleaner emissions.
Tier 4 B/Final Compliant

Engines use an internal Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) system to meet Tier 4 B/Final requirements. A 50-hour Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) regeneration interval helps keep your workday humming.

Transmission Options For Your Operation

Choose the standard mechanical shuttle transmission or the popular 3-range hydrostatic option.

Mechanical Shuttle Transmission

The standard shuttle transmission features 12x12 (three nonsynchronized ranges, four synchronized speeds) on Compact Farmall models 35C and 40C, and 16x16 (four nonsynchronized ranges, four synchronized speeds) on Compact Farmall models 45C and 55C.
Hydrostatic Transmission

A 3-range hydrostatic transmission is available on all four models. An easy-to-operate, 2-pedal system, electric cruise control and infinite operating speeds makes this option popular choice when considering operator convenience and fatigue. It’s an excellent choice for tasks, such as loader work and mowing, requiring frequent directional and speed changes.

Open Platform: A large, obstacle-free, step-through operator’s platform provides easy entry and exit and gives you plenty of room to maneuver.

Noise Reduction: A thick rubber floor mat dampens noise and vibration, reducing operator fatigue, and helping you stay more productive all day.

Deluxe Seat: A comfortable seat can help those long days seem just a bit shorter. Armrests and an adjustable backrest let you personalize your seat. An incline-plane mount lets taller operators position the seat for maximum comfort.

Tilting Steering Wheel: Position the steering wheel precisely for your comfort zone. Or simply tilt it up and out of the way for easier entry and exit.
Convenience

Constant Engine Speed Button: For tasks that require a steady engine rpm regardless of load or ground speed, such as powering a spray pump or other PTO-driven implements, a flip of the CES button holds engine rpm at the speed you select. This prevents engine racing or dragging and provides consistency, whether you’re controlling weeds along the driveway or mowing rugged terrain.

Factory-installed Loader Joystick: A loader turns your tractor into a versatile, powerful workhorse. Our loader joystick comes standard from the factory and is integrated into the right-hand console for easier operation and greater productivity.

Handy Storage: Whether a place for hitch pins, a pair of pliers or an afternoon snack, a handy seat-side storage compartment within easy reach fits the bill. Plus, you’ll never leave the farmstead without your operator’s manual and other important documents using the convenient seatback storage space.
Visibility

Unobstructed Views: The operator’s platform provides excellent all-around visibility from the tractor seat, including rear visibility to the drawbar, PTO and 3-point hitch. The stylish, sloped hood on Farmall series tractors allows clear, forward sightlines to the front wheels, loader and other mid- and front-mount attachments.

Instrumentation: Well-placed controls and the design of the instrumentation dash provide easy access without inhibiting visibility.

Protection With Flexibility: A two-post ROPS structure provides protection without sacrificing visibility. The structure is foldable so you can complete tasks in low-overhead areas, and an optional sunshade canopy provides sun protection on long, hot days.
Cab Amenities

Room to Move: Our comfortable cab offers the ultimate work environment. With 63 cubic feet of interior space, the spacious, open platform and large doors make for easy entry and exit and give you plenty of room to maneuver.

Climate Control: A comfort-creating HVAC system lets you customize your workspace. The rear window opens for fresh air circulation and enhances visibility.

360-Degree Sight Lines: Large windows and well-designed structural support clear the way for 360-degree sightlines. A high-visibility roof panel keeps the loader bucket in sight. And an interior sunshade and multiple rearview mirrors improve visibility while reducing fatigue.

Sure, the engine, operator platform and overall aesthetics help make the tractor. But it’s how implements attach, function and power up that make your tractor a versatile workhorse. You can count on Compact Farmall C tractors for features, plus reliable ease of use for efficient productivity.

PTO

Mid-mount PTO: Power mid- and front-mount equipment, such as mowers and snow blower. A factory-installed mid-mount PTO comes standard.

Speed Options: A rear, independent 540-rpm PTO with electro-hydraulic engagement comes standard and drives all your 3-point-mount and pull-behind implements. The mid-mount PTO is manually engaged, but controlled with electro-hydraulic PTO switch and operates at 2,000 rpm.
Hydraulics

Flow Rate: An 8.2 gallons-per-minute hydraulic flow gives you the power you need for all kinds of heavy lifting, from loaders and backhoes to rear blades and rotary tillers.

Compact Farmall 35C and 40C paired with Case IH L350A loader: 1,540 lb. at bucket pivot point
Compact Farmall 45C and 55C paired with Case IH L360A loader: 1,830 lb. at bucket pivot point

Remotes: All Compact Farmall C series tractors arrive from the factory with a standard rear remote and mid-mount valve. For even greater flexibility, add an optional second rear remote. Plus, optional color-coded rear remote levers and couplers simplify hookup.
Hitches

3-point: Telescoping stabilizers and flex-end lower links make attaching and hooking up implemets fast and easy. A single turnbuckle levels attachments. Mechanical positioning and an adjustable drop rate give you even greater control

Loaders

The Case IH L300A loader series is designed specifically for use with your Compact Farmall C tractor. Each tractor arrives from the factory with standard, loader-ready features, including a mid-mount hydraulic valve and console-integrated joystick controller.
Mounting

Each loader includes mounting brackets for its corresponding tractor. Quick, easy mounting is a hallmark of Case IH loaders. Simply drive the tractor into the loader, put in the pins, attach the hydraulics and get to work.
