Case IH launched its first CVX tractor in 1999, featuring the industry leading Auto Productivity Management (APM). This feature, which automatically manages the engine and the transmission revolutionized the way to drive a tractor and led to the development of CVX in Europe. The CVX transmission is designed to maximise efficiency and reduce fuel consumption. It has infinite gear ratios that provide the operating controller logic to find the perfect balance of power and efficiency for the work you need to do.

100% mechanic transmission

CVX transmission mechanically transfers power from the engine to the transmission. This is the best way to ensure that all power is transferred and none dispersed. With CVX every single drop of fuel is put to work.

Active hold control

All our models equipped with CVX transmission feature Active Hold Control. This system prevents your tractor from rolling backwards when you stop on a hillside during operations, and lets you seamlessly pull away again, without you ever touching either the brakes or the clutch.

How does it work?

In order to maintain the tractor at a standstill, Active Hold Control engages the hydrostatic pump in the opposite direction that the engine is running in, at the exact same speed. So both movements simply cancel each other out!

Do not worry about a thing and do what needs to be done. Meanwhile, your CVX tractor will be ready to go and smoothly carry on. Whenever you are.

Active Hold Control does not only stand for a safe standstill. Because neither the clutch nor the brakes are solicited at all, Active Hold Control means less mechanic wear, longer lifespan of critical pieces and in the end, less trouble for you.

Low engine speed

Case IH developed CVX to be efficient regardless the conditions, whether you are working hard in the field or in transport. CVX is designed to operate with the utmost fuel efficiency; hence, you reach cruising speed at the lowest possible engine speed. Not only do you save transport costs per ton, it also reduces your fatigue thanks to significantly lower noise levels in the cab.

Automatic Productivity Management

Further efficiency is reached on all CVX models thanks to the latest advancements of APM. The Automatic Productivity Management system cuts fuel consumption during operations and ensures that you run at top efficiency.

How do we do it?

APM automatically selects the most accurate engine speed and gearbox ratio combination to perform the task at hand. As it recognizes your driving strategy, you always benefit from the right power output, at the right moment, in the most efficient configuration possible… without having to give it a single thought.
